What Does "Green" Really Mean?

Technically? "Green" doesn't mean anything. It's a marketing term that is widely used with no oversight and allows unethical companies to sell harmful products to unsuspecting customers. We promise 100% transparency with our products and their ingredients. No volatile organic compounds, no fragrances, no cancer-causing chemicals.

Baking Soda

We use Baking Soda or sodium bicarbonate in many cleaning applications for its ability to remove stains, deodorize, and scrub.

White Vinegar

White vinegar is used to remove dirt and grime, stains, and on floors. We don't use vinegar on any stone surfaces because of its tendency to etch, but its a great addition to our cleaning arsenal.

Castile Soap

Castile soap is a plant based soap containing vegetable oils. Ours is always unscented and its surfactant qualities help with lifting grease and oils in cleaning.

Hypochlorous Acid

Hypochlorous Acid or HOCI is a hospital-grade disinfectant that kills 99.9% of mold, mildew, and germs--including coronaviruses. Plus, it's safe on skin for people and pets, and is environmentally friendly.

Elbow Grease

If all of these products sound too good to be true, it's because they all require time and elbow grease to work effectively. We think the tradeoff is well worth it.

Next on our list of Green Cleaning Superpowers is Castile Soap. Castile Soap is named after the Castile area of Spain where it is thought to have originated. Although soapmaking began as early as 300 AD, castile soap was referenced first in the 1500's when sodium carbonate from plant ashes was boiled with olive oil. Our castile soaps today are very similar to this original "recipe", and contain plant oils and either potassium or sodium hydroxide which are both obtained from wood ash.
